Clos Petit-Corbin Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2023Chateau Haut Segottes second wine provides a supple, beguiling counterpoint to the flagship cuves muscular classicism. Comprised entirely of Merlotpartly from a one hectare plot in the dark sand soils of Corbin, and partly from a hectare in FortinClos Petit Corbin displays the sheer elegance the variety can achieve in this appellation. Florent and Danielle employ no new wood here, and a small portion of the wine remains in tank during the lvage,

this wine combines classically Nuits-Saint-Georges iron and sous-bois with fruit a bit more caressing and Vosne-Romanée-like than its more southerly situated counterparts

This is the smallest production of the domaine

content on the soils of granitic moraine and black schist

it is destemmed entirely and spends a year aging in a combination of stainless steel and used 600-liter oak casks

the nose is pointed with a refreshing cherry fruit
