Porotiti Raukaraka - Greenstone Spinning DiscA porotiti (also known as a kroroh) is a tradiotional Mori spinning disc instument used for healing, music and play. It is a part of the taonga poro (traditional musical instruments) family and is closely linked to Twhirimtea, the god of the wind. This beautifully crafted porotiti was carved by Alex Sands from raukaraka pounamu sourced from Marsden of Te Wai Pounamu, Aotearoa. It measures 90mm by 40mm. Has a semi gloss finish.
