Hackfall IIHackfall Woods is part of an eighteenth century wooded and waterfalled estate just outside the town of Masham near Rnear Ripon in North Yorkshire. Now owned by the Woodland Trust it is not only home to river walks and ancient trees but also is dotted with follies and ruins from earlier times. Created as part of an exhibition 'A Particular Place' celebrating Masham and Mashamshire! Exhibition at Masham Gallery from July 18th September 2025. MEDIUM:

I was captivated by the remarkable plasterwork and the unicorn featured in this print draws inspiration from the exquisite 400-year-old ceilings

A favourite place to start a walk as it backs onto fields which lead down to the Grand Union canal

During 2024 I was a regular and frequent visitor to the 500 splendid acres of fields

told through the lives of 18 people who took it in radical new directions: printers and binders
