The tasting brings notes of rich oak and spice with some sherried sweetness on the palate

but the stills are run in a way to stop copper conversation and their lyne arms run into worm tubs – the classic way to produce a heavy new make character

The name for this expression comes from a mysterious peat bog on the western side of the island

matured in second-fill and heavily charred first-fill American oak casks

but should not be underestimated as it still holds a strong Highland character
