Early Babbitt 7 Jon Van Wie hard rubber a rubber Berg LarsenHere is a vintage, late 1970's Early Babbitt Tone Edge tenor from the collection of Canadian saxophonist, Kirk MacDonald. This particular was sent to legendary craftsman Jon Van Wie and opened to . 110" on my gauge, which is an Otto Link 8. This piece features a heavy clamshell style baffle expertly shaped to stay high for about 1 2" with a nice almost radial curve that Jon was known for. It has the steep beak from this period and as shown, no number
